Manchester based lads...

My and the mrs are looking at re-locating to manchester from kent, we'd be looking to buy in a decentish area as where we live now is like downtown baghdad. something around the 125k mark, theres just the 2 of us, we are mid 20's. what can you reccommend.

I'd look at South Manchester. Cheadle and Didsbury are nice but i'm not sure how much 125k will get you tbh. Maybe look at Chorlton or Withington.

AVOID Hulme, Moss Side, Longsight, Gorton, Rusholme

Im living in stockport and quite like the place. 10 mins to Manchester on the train, a good size town centre and theres more good areas than bad. Im renting a three bed terraced house in a decent area that is on the market for 110.

Same thing could be rented for about £500 per month

Why don't you rent for 6/12 months and see which parts you like?
