    Default Bit of wildlife / gore

    Caught these down by the water today. The seagull kicked the pigeon to bits





    They're for a monthly photography competition, not sure which one to enter. Opinions?

    I think the first one is better composition and lighting but the second, well....it's tearing it's intestines out!

    Nice shots - prefer the second too. Could you not adjust the levels a bit?

    I very quickly put them through Photoshop and auto adjusted them so I'll be tidying up the one I choose nearer the time.

    Round my way, the seagulls tend to get into the picture like it or not. They're big, aggressive and utterly unintimidated by humans. We went out a few weeks ago to try to get a shot for the "growth" theme, and were just standing admiring the sea view at one point, when I turned round and this big bugger was about 4 feet away from me and staring at me hard.



    I should add that I quickly pointed, pressed, and ran!

    Mind you I think I'd have voted for that in the growth compo
