"Every time Rovers had a set-piece, he was asking his marker, 'Can you have a word and see if they will sign me? I'm desperate to come to Liverpool'.

If he'd done similar to engineer a move to safc he'd be quite the hero in the wider hypocrite community

If Bent had done it to go to a better placed club then there's not many Sunderland fans who would have been as angry as they are now.

What Bent did is the equivalent of Bellamy forcing through a move from Blackburn (who were Europa League challengers under Hughes) to say, Fulham, for the one motivation of more money.

Liverpool were comfortably qualifying for the Champions League and the time. It's understandable why Bellamy did what he did.

Thinking it's the actions of a wanker when he's doing it to try and force a move any other club but thinking he's a legend if he was doing it to come to SAFC doesn't make you a hypocrite you bellend. It makes you an SAFC fan.
