NotW: Reid out, N'Zogbia in

Tomorrow's News of the World says Andy Reid has been told he can leave, with Celtic and Newcastle interested and also says N'Zogbia to join.

Would be good deals all round, would prefer Reid to join Celtic though.

Don't think we would sell Reid to the scum. Would love for N'zogbia to join though.

No-one would buy Reid atm, he's been out injured for ages and gets repeat injuries as he's almost fit

CELTIC and Newcastle United have been placed on red alert after Andy Reid was told he can leave Sunderland.

Reid, 27, has three years left on his contract at the Stadium of Light and will command a £3million fee.

And Hoops boss Neil Lennon is hoping the Green card will persuade Reid to move to Scotland.

Reid has been unfairly sidelined during Sunderland's pre-season and, while he can stay and fight for his place, the midfielder knows he is too good a player to stay on the fringes of any club.

Newcastle boss Chris Hughton who worked with the player at Tottenham and on international duty, is also a fan.

Sounds like the journo has been given that by his agent, so wouldn't be surprised if it's true.

Why would the club care who they sold him to? Money talks (that said, Newcastle dont have any).

I've always liked Reid tho.

Celtic will have a bit of money to spend after selling that Mcgeidy (sp?) could see him going there
