Ice Hockey

I know there's a few on here follow ice hockey in the region. Anyway, I've been asked to write a feature for the International Ice Hockey Federation's website about hockey in the NE following the collapse of Newcastle's franchise at the end of last season. I'm good on the history, especially around the Wasps, but I'd love an update on what's happening with plans to bring a rink back to Durham and ultimately get a team in action again. Anyone got any idea who's involved with this, and what the crack is?

Ideally I'd be able to meet up for a chat next week when I'm back in Durham for a few days. All help appreciated.

Aye, that was about as far as I'd got. Hmm. Feels like this story is going to have a difficult birth.

Would love it to come off and finally have ice hockey back in Durham after all these years.
