    Default James Mcfadden

What has happened to this guy? According to his wiki page he currently has no club . Assuming he is not seriously injured i'm surprised no one snapped him up in the last transfer window.

You assumed wrong. I think he's technically fit again, but he's been out with a bad knee injury since early last season.

Just looked him up - I'm shocked at how few goals he's scored in his career.

Always seemed a decent player, certainly PL standard. Bad injury though. Been out for 12 months I think.

Him being 'technically fit' would mean that the original poster hasn't 'assumed wrong'.

He was never used as an straight up center forward though iirc. More a winger/attacking midfielder. He has a good international record.

I'm shocked by how many people have failed to notice that he is an underachieving show pony of a player.

I'm sure he brought a lot more to the table than just goals, but I'm still surprised - 11 goals in 5 years at Everton. If nothing else, I'm sure I can remember him scoring more than that!

Reminds me of David Healy.... Reguarly did world class esque things at international level but is distinctly average domestically
