    Default China: A capitalist/socialist experiment

seeing as though wealth gaps are widely debated on here i read this earlier today and it is shocking:

    http://www.bloomberg.com/news/2012-0...e-paupers.html

    some highlights

-the net worth of the 70 richest delegates in China's National Peoples Congress is $89.8bn.
-annual income per capita in the US is $37,527, in China this stands at $2,425

fck me that is staggering. i continue to say china is an accident waiting to happen.

Different psyche burned into them over many many years.

it wasn't that long ago that they had The Cultural Revolution. it could flick back very quickly. they have had many centuries of grinding poverty. A few iphones will take a while to erase that.

I've got to say, the lager here is far better than the stuff back over there.

Tsingtao is canny, the local stuff here (Ginsber) is lush, and Harbin Snow beer is a nice light.
