Default stadium of light naming rights

I joked with a journalist on twitter for the mirror that he was not calling the sports direct arena by its proper name.

He just replied with stadium of light next.

I know it won't be a shock if we actually do go down that route. Just seems something may be happening.

They can call it 'Fat Harry's Crack House' for all I care. Just get it right on the pitch please.

It wouldn't surprise me nor would it bother me at all if we did go down that route. Clubs are going to have maximise revenues to comply with the new UEFA rules.

I've always hated the name 'Stadium of Light' anyway.

its less of a problem with us, ground is only 10 years old. and its not called the sports direct arena.

    looking at this
    http://swissramble.blogspot.com/2011...heir-fans.html

we need to massively increase our commercial turnover, so it would come as no suprise that we should rename it. cant see it going to anything similar to tombola for £1m though. backdoor financing at the lone star loans stadium, in a deal similar (albeit less) than man citys £100m etihad deal

Not arsed, don't have an attachment to the name Stadium of light anyway.
I wouldn't be too chuffed with fat harrys crack house mind. The Maws pies arena has a ring to it though

The Sunderland Stadium of Light has no emotional bearing to most fans, so call it what they want. It's simply known as "the ground" to me anyway.

Sell the rights to the highest bidder.
