Default Does Mensah get back in the team for Chelsea?

A tough one... certainly Ferdinand has been looking good of late but there is no denying that Mensah is prob our best defender when fit....

No.....give him a reserve game first to get some sharpness back.

When one of Ferdi or Bramble gets injured or plays crap then hoy him in

Without doubt. If it was someone like Turner coming back then i'd say Ferdinand can keep his place but Mensah is head and shoulders above all our other defenders, so when fit he goes straight back into the team.

He gets injured nearly everytime he plays football and you want to stick him in a reserve game? Has the world gone mad!

Save him for the Stoke game. We're going to need a physical presence. They'll go with a Big man little man combo of Carew and Jones(!). I don't fancy Antons chances up against Kenwyne TBH.

We should have learned already this season that you should play your best players, not the worse ones who are playing well.

Mensah should start, and should he have to go off there will be no problem bringing Ferdy on. We'll than have got however long out of Mensah which we would not have if he were to stay on the bench, and it's not really a waste of a substitution as Bruce seems to very rarely use all 3.

He should for me. Our pairing of Ferdinand and Bramble didn't look all that great against Newcastle.

And you want to change a successful, settled, solid & confident defence for a player like this, disrupting the side in the middle of a game, it's a risk we just don't need to take imo.

Not tough at all imo. Best defender at the club by a country mile - if he's fit he plays.

Normally I'd be saying stick with Anton and Bramble, given Mensah could get injured from very little at any time and then you have to waste a sub and reshuffle, but v Drogba, I think we've got to risk it and go for Mensah.
