ALready get broadband from them but have always been loyal to Sky, finally decided to look at upgrading my broadband and also getting TV through them but robbing cow on the phone said new customers get installation and set up free whereas i'd have to pay £35 broadband setup and £40 TV setup despite being with them now for 5 years!!!!
Help/advice anyone?

I don't have advice as such. I just am in a similar position to yourself. I don't know if by your post you mean your already with Virgin but what to upgrade or with Sky but watch to switch, but I am with Virgin and I would advice heavily to upgrade. But it does cost. A lot if I recall. And I don't pay the bill. It is debited from a bank account from one of my parents. So theirs little change of getting it ever. So if I did have advice it would be to tread carefully and only upgrade if you can afford to.
I am with the M package which is about 52 channels, along with phone and broadband, but the V box you get doesn't allow you to record owt. I hate not being able to record but I think it costs quite a lot more to upgrade to a package where I will get the V+ box which allows me to record as well as more channels.
We had two gorgeous looking Sky saleswomen round to sell us a package yonks ago and we were so nearly won over till we realised how much we had to pay to pay off the remainder of our contract. They said since mother had said she didn't realise she had to sign an agreement with Virgin we didn't have to pay but Virgin Media said we did have to fork out what came to a lot to buy out our contract which doesn't end till near the end of the year. So theirs even less chance again and frankly it ain't worth all the money that will have to be spent to go with a Sky package where I can not only see loads more stuff but also record it.
