    I think it'd be quite nice , candles , board games or cards and getting snug to keep warm

    living out in the wilds here we average half a dozen power cuts a year, longest lasted 2 1/2 days last winter.
    I guess we should really have a generator as back up but get by ok on candles & bottled gas heating/cooking. there are no street lights for miles anyway so no difference there.
    lack of TV & internet is a big miss though.
