    There's some sort of protector that's available, but he'd have to get it sanctioned by FIFA before he'd be able to wear it. I'd imagine that wouldn't be a problem, and that he'd be cleared to play wearing said protector.

    Would the protector be dive proof so he didn't hurt his arm is he found himself in a diving situation every 3 minutes?

    casts are banned completely, even a protector would only allow limited mobility and will make it difficult to run as normal.
