Not heard many people Media or otherwise saying what a good chance we have of winning it unlike in past tournaments. Have they finally started to realise how average we actually are?

Where does this notion come from that anyone involved with England expect to win tournaments? The vast majority of pundits, media and fans are very pessimistic at every tournament.

In the past we've heard people bigging up our chances, not this year though.

Think the team may perform better with less pressure due to there being little expectation.

We have exactly the same chance that we normally have, the only difference is the Sun hasn't jumped on the we will win it bandwagon.

Downing, Glen Johnson, Carrol and Gerrard Going to Euro's. Adam Johnson, Holt and Micha Richards Not going to Euros. Says it all really.

England have an amazing pool of players but sadly names and not form are selected.
    England are a fcking joke.

Generally, it's the tabloid press plus people who don't watch football except for cup finals, World Cups and European Championships.

98 was probably the best England squad of my life time, to be honest. (well, 1970 but I was 1 year old at the time)

This squad lacks goals more than anything.

I didn't say anything about the quality of the squad, I made the comment about the chance of winning. I agree that in the past we've had so called quality players but who were nowhere near being a team because as per normal we have to shoehorn certain names in.
