I hope/believe that with the extra resources he has he can ecclipse his 4 wins a season next season if not this.
If not, and we cannot hope for more than 2-3 wins away per year, we may as well pack up and go home.
Nowt can be achieved with that, regardless of home form.

Re: Bruce. Top flight away wins pre Sunderland.
the thing is though, it would be interesting to compare the away results for every team bar the so called big four.
not many teams who finish between 9th and 17th achieve more than 2 or 3 away wins in a season.
even the 7th placed finish team only won about 5 or 6

Win all your home games and draw all you away games=76 points. I would say something can be achieved with that.

Re: Bruce. Top flight away wins pre Sunderland.
Why do you suggest only 2-3 away wins, when he had 4 away wins more than half og his seasons pre-safc? Also, you state the fact that he has more money available at Sunderland.
We should be picking up more points away from home, though. Hopefully starting tonight.

Interesting my own particular gripe about SB atm, is that he by good scouting and wheeler/dealing he has assembled a good squad and is only a couple of players away from being a very good one. BUT our home form is good cos' the crowd help to lift the team, away from home it is SBs job to to pick the right tactics and get the right spirit, something he is definitely NOT doing. This failing was shown in all its horror on 'black sunday'.
So my worry about SB is that he seems incapable of getting the team to perform away from home, which is probably the biggest and hardest part of his job.
If we do win the next two games I will gladly come on here and eat very humble pie.

we are a mid table side, our away record is more or less what we should expect
