    Default Avran Grant

Sacked according to SSN and Martin O'Neill to replace him.

I'm surprised that MON would go there.

Apparently he still in charge for todays match and will be sacked after that regardless of the result. If I was Grant I would feel a bit humiliated if that was true, why not sack him now and get it out of the way. Being treated a bit unfairly I think.

Bit like whem Mark Hughes was sacked when he was in charge of Man City while playing us.

Still getting a massive wedge though so that will soften the blow.

Surprised O'Neill would be going there, after whining about lack of funds at Villa - West Ham arent going to chuck much money at him. I think he will get them out of trouble, so this is a problem for the other teams in the relegation area.

With the team he's got and lack of money he had during the summer I don't think he's doing that bad a job. He inherited an awful squad and the best West Ham could have hoped for this season was lower mid-table.

If they sack him I hope they go down. You don't get anywhere by having unrealistic expectations and constantly sacking your manager after 6 months in the job.

To be expected...although earlier than I thought....new owners are impatient, over shrewd and want a swift return on their investment....might work in the rag trade but not in football

If you add this MON rumour to the other one about WHU picking up the whole of Wayne Bridge's £90/wk wage bill, it sounds like Sullivan & Gold are splashing significant coin in an attempt to protect their PL investment.

It makes a certain sense, although I too am surprised to think that MON would take the job unless maybe on a short term basis. The whole backdrop to WHU seems to be a contradiction of MON's "clean boy" image.
