Riveros set to leave Sunderland for Corinthians By Graeme Anderson
Published on Thu Feb 24 09:30:06 GMT 2011

CRISTIAN RIVEROS could be on his way out of the Stadium of Light, with Brazilian giants Corinthians ready to end his Sunderland nightmare.

The South American club made an official enquiry this week for the Paraguayan international, who has failed to make any impression on English football.
And a bid is expected to follow for a player who starred for his country in the World Cup last summer, who was a top player in Mexican football but who has not made the grade in England.
Although the transfer window is closed across Europe, it is still open in Brazil and there is nothing stopping the swift transfer of the player.

Bye bye Christian, thanks for... erm... thanks for momentary excitement when you warmed up during the Brum game. I was excited then. Other than that, you've been a massive disappointment.

Him & PDS will more than cover the lost 1.8m pa revenue that the missing 10k are worth and we wont miss either. In fact those 2 were probably costing over 3m pa between them.

Wonder how much he will have cost in total?

Undisclosed fee (no Bosmans in Mexico) maybe £1m to £2m?

    Agents fee £200k?

    £30k per week for a year £1.5m?

Agents fee when we sell £100k?

If he won't accept a pay cut, another £500k to £1m to make up the difference?

Probably about £4m, enough to cover the 'missing fans' for a couple of years.

He has struggled to adapt, although he did look a lot better when he came on against Blackpool, but needs/needed games to adapt and never really got them, just the occasional start or sub appearance.

its a pity like as he's obviously a decent player and has experience, would have been useful for our bench if he adapted
nevermind though, at least its someone as cheap as him who has turned out to be useless rather than someone we paid a load of cash for!
