Thinking of going there on a last minute deal. Is it any good there? Always associated Greece with unsanitary conditions; is this true or just a myth?

Is not a luxury place in general but it is pretty good. All depends on where you end up. Where about are you thinking of going/staying?

Been there twice (Pefkos) and can't really complain about it.

Never been but nearly ended up there when I went sailing off Kos, realised I couldn't sail and kept drifting toward Rhodes.

Kos was brilliant and not unsanitary at all. Can't imagine Rhodes being too different.

You get used to the toilets, been to loads of Greek islands and never once stayed in apartments where smell was an issue. Pub toilets can be hit and miss mind, though to be honest the worst place I’ve been to for bars having minging bogs was Lanzarote.

I love Greece though some of the resorts can be a bit quiet, depends what you want, quiet evening meals in tavernas, you’re laughing almost anywhere, lively night out in a load of bars you need to go to Faliraki.
