    Default George McCartney injured again

This time his back according to safc.com

Is the lad extremely 'unlucky' or is he one of those softies who won't go out there if he feels anything, be it just a small knock that won't get worse when training/playing...

... years ago people played with broken bones (well, almost) on the Isles, but nowadays they don't play through the pain barrier quite as often; that's my feeling anyhow. That said, sometimes the wise thing is to not play when carrying pain... bring back Stefan Schwarz

I think he is the kind of lad who doesnt know the difference between been hurt and being injured.

Obviously we don't know the extent of his injury, but I agree nowadays footballers do seem to head for the treatment room after the slightest knock.

Roy made many bad buys, but paying £5-6m for George was probably the worst one I can think of now. I'm sry George, but I'd rather have Liddle as back-up to Kieran if we don't sign another LB. Can we possibly get £2m for him today, or is even that to steep? £1.5m'ish perhaps...

Time to take old George round the back of the barn and put him out of his misery.
