Houghton Workplace 5 a Side League

Afternoon fella's

New poster here but thought I would make you aware of a fairly new 5 a side league over on the brand new (well opened last September) 3G pitch on the newly developed Houghton Sports Centre. Season 1 ran with teams from Sunderland Council, NHS, City Hospital but it is open to all workplaces in and around the City.

email me for more details....simon.wardle@s underland.gov.uk - I will be closing applications over the next couple of days as we will be kicking off next week. Games take place each Tuesday with kick off times 6pm, 6:30pm, 7:00pm and 7:30pm.

Prices, length of games etc?

No probs - price is £200 for the full 14 week season which works out as less than £15 per game per team. Match length is 2 x 13min halves which may not sound a lot but if you have seen the new facility the pitch is more 6 a side so you get a good run about. Goals are larger than typical 5 v 5 goals as well.

You can register up to 10 players but can only have a squad size of 8 on a match day (roll on, roll off subs).

New teams have until this Friday 12noon at the latest to let me know as I will be circulating fixtures Fri PM. Payment is due the night of the first set of fixtures (Next Tuesday 24th Jan).
