    Default Brewdog Scumland

For those lovers of Brewdog beers you may be interested that the next Brewdog Bar concept is planned for 16-20 Dean Street, Newcastle. Should be an expensive night out! and brings a new dimension to the walk up from the quayside to the Bacchus area.

Brewdog do some fantastic beers. Pleased they're opening a bar in the NE. Shame something like this wouldn't work well in Sunderland.

Good news that, was in the Edinburgh one recently and converted me to their beers....trashy blonde and punk ipa were spot on although led to me making a bit of a helmet of myself in a posh eatery later on that night!

    Any idea when?

Champion - just bought some shares in the Company - they are rapidly expanding - I will no doubt be pushing the profits up if they open here. Is this the first one outside of Scotland?

Nope the first outside Scotland was Brewdog London (Camden). This will be the first one in the North East and is a real shame its not in Sunderland. However Dean street is far enough away from the Bigg Market to avoid the dickheads.
The location is an ex pizza express so i'd expect it to open by December at least.

Top beer that, wish it wasn't so expensive like. Asda had 3 for 4.50 a while ago. Gone in 30 minutes.

I just can't ever see a bar like that opening or working in Sunderland, we'll never have a nice pub dedicated to continental, british and local beers because the ethos here is very much 'where's the cheapest pint I can get?'
