Default More controversy at the Riggs Bowl

    Brandon v Anfield Plain

    The Plain 131 off 20

Last ball Brandon need 2 to draw 3 to win

Lad hits it for 2 as he completes his second run the ball deflects off him as it is thrown at the stumps.

Brandon lad stops in his crease not willing to win the game as he has deflected the ball away

Other batsman oblivious to the deflection goes for 3 run and is run out

Brandon loss tied game on wicket because of the run out

Bad sportsmanship on the other teams part, after your lad clearly upheld the unwritten rule, 'Thou shall not run if a throw deflects off the bat'. IMO the other team should have held the ball next to the stumps and politely requested that your errand batsmen return to the crease

just saying, fair play should always be the standard and not the winning.

Same fair play he showed by trying to steal an undeserved victory

I agree, but one of the batsmen was trying to be a skank and running on the deflection, got what he deserved
