Sunderland are eyeing £3m rated Spanish defender Jordi Figueras. The 24-year-old has impressed at Rayo Vallecano on a season-long loan from Russian side Rubin Kazan.

In the Sun like so bear that in mind.

Anyone know anything else about it?

Doesn't seem to have cut it in Russia, for whatever reason, and mostly played second division football in Spain.

Used to play for Southampton nowt to write home about, forced Darren Ward into making one of the greatest saves ever though!
