    The link above allows you 14 days free trial membership, I think. (that's to all of the site not just WW1 veterans).

    i have been on that ancestry site, a canny bit but with no luck as of yet.

    cant believe how common my surname was back in the late 1800s and up to and including the 1st world war

    I got a copy of my great grendads medal card from the National Archive
