using a USB stick with Xbox 360 problem / help

I got a USB stick to save my profile on, so that I could interchange hard drives without a carry on recovering my profile all the time.

Sadly, it seemed to have problems, losing my avatar and game playing history. I tried to switch it back to the hard drive, but now it seems corrupted in some way.

I got a cheap USB stick, as only wanted it for this. Do they vary in quality? Could it just be bad luck this time if I wipe the USB stick and start again?

Anyone else used this function? Was using an intenso 2 g.b. usb stick.

Recover your profile on your 360, and try it again.

I wiped my usb stick clean, recovered my profile and tried it agian. Have added some extra content like my avatar items and themes, incase it was confusing it somehow.

Seems to be working better so far, no problems. Not got my second hard drive yet, so see how it goes when I switch them around too.
