100% agree, class squad, some still adapting to life and football over here.

Can see glimpses of what we are going to be like in few weeks, we'll be fine and finish 9th IMO.

Next season, really push for Europe!!!

Yes probably the best squad ever.

More than 20 years ago of course you didn't have a squad, you had a first team and then the reserves.

The best team? Hard to say what is our team these days with all the constant changes of the modern era.

Best team in my lifetime was the 63-64 promotion team. Had all the attributes but in typical Sunderland fashion we managed to screw it up by going into the next season without a manager and not replacing a goalie (Monty) who was injured but instead letting a 15 year old take over in goal for the first seven or eight games.

We were better than Leeds who went up with us...they moved ahead we slipped back and never really recovered.

Im 35 and my dad whos 57 think so,although my dad says it, looking at the bigger picture, as in potentially being the best with fit players back,Pav bought in the summer then we will be.Always listen to my dad cause hes always right,he never rated Bent,like I did,always said when Bardo signed his new contract in the summer,that was as good as some of our signings,and always thought Gyan was class even when i was not seeing it early in the season.

This is the best squad but it is not the best 11 players we have ever had and if you consider Reids era possibly not the best team performance wise.
