    Default Why?

Why, over so many successive seasons have SAFC been so disinterested in doing well in the Carling Cup. This has got to be the only viable competition we could win...

I'm getting really pissed off about it and this is not aimed soley at Bruce but also his predecessors...

We always go out cheaply to lower division sides....... I've decided I will never go to another Carling Cup home game (when we get one) unless the clubs attitude changes (I feel sorry for the fans who travel away) and I can see the FA Cup going the same way....

    F*ck a Duck...

Think a boycott will be the only way to make the club see sense. F*ckin Brum won the thing last year and we can't even make it through one round. Seriously bad not only for us fans but the finances and reputation of the club too.

Bit patronizing to Brighton tbh. They are a decent side

Also suggest we weren't trying, which is bollocks

That was not my aim..... However we should be capable of beating lower division sides and I don't just mean last night, but also over the last several seasons.

SAFC over the years have not treated this cup competition as a prioirity at all and quite clearly they should, as if we really applied ourselves we could potentially win it...

What makes it much worse is that bruce comes out and says "the cup is very important... we could win it"

    then looses.

It does seem jinxed, for one reason or another. I don't believe that it's down to a lack of 'seriousness', but it would be easy to get that impression. Last year, Wist Him looked like Barcelona against us.

Bruce wanted us to do well in the cup. He picked 11 Premier League experienced players, almost all signed by himself. He, and they, fucked it up.

we have been a disgrace in the cups for years now under various managers - it is a absolute disgrace , the carling cup is probably our only hope of ever winning something for gods sake
