Yeh, I went to see them play Aberdeen.
Great Stadium, very impressive, especially at night. Only trouble for us was we were up in the gods, miles away from the pitch.
Dont know what the crowds will be like for your game, but if you're travelling to the stadium from the city centre allow plenty of time, we missed the first 5 minutes because we could'nt get on a train, they were all packed.

Cheers , I'm in row 10 of the 2nd tier so not that far up. Do you reckon if I get on the train at about 4 around the Hauptbahnhof area I will have enough time to get there and have a beer before the game starts (615 ko for the 3rd place game)?

Re: Anyone been to the Allianz Arena in Munich?
that should be enough time to get there, i would leave earlier though and soak up more atmosphere. i went to see them play wolfsburg last season and it was free booze in teh ground from teh local brewery.
its definitely up there with the most impressive stdia in the world in my opinion and youll get a great view from pretty much anywhere
this should tell you everything you need to know

Re: Anyone been to the Allianz Arena in Munich?
I've been about 7 or 8 times, most people drink in the town centre and head off to the ground nearer kick off. The Ubahn takes less than 30 minutes from Marienplatz, then it takes about 20 minutes to walk to the ground, get through security then get to your seats.
Superb stadium, but the Bayern fans are about the tamest in Germany atmosphere wise, but when they have 65000 cheering them on they can still make a racket when they try.
For the European games I went to all of the beer is alcohol free, so it may be worth sussing this out before you decide to go to the ground really early to sample the beer!

Re: Anyone been to the Allianz Arena in Munich?
Brilliant, modern stadium. I only saw 1860 Munich play (stadium about 3/4 full) so atmosphere probably not as electric as it can be, but I was well impressed with the stadium itself.
Only problem was it was absolutely freezing where we were, even though the weather was decent outside. Might have just been a random air pocket or something, though.

Re: Anyone been to the Allianz Arena in Munich?
Booked up to go to Munich last week of Nov for the xmas market, hopefully get myself along to a game too. Is a hassle to get tickets for Bayern? (should they be playing at home)

All mullets and sleveless denim jackets. They used to put on that clapping graphic around 70 minutes - to gee them up at the pld stadium.
