Default Denis Irwin was right footed

... and a 'decent' (...) left back. Perhaps, I don't know, he was more two footed than Bardsley, but fact remains; he was right footed.

Most of the ones here who absolutely don't want Bardsley at left back say it's mainly because he's right footed. Well, Irwin was pretty immense there wasn't he?

Any other examples of very good right footed left backs?

That's not true - it's because we've watched him at left back and the only things he does have in common with Irwin is that they both played for Man Utd and are right footed.

Denis Irwin was a quality defender, though. Phil Bardsley isn't.

Nobody can argue Bardsley improved a lot last season, maybe he can improve again!
