Newcastle match tickets

Tickets for the big Wear-Tyne derby game on Sunday January 16th (12 noon) go on sale by phone from the SAFC ticket office at 10.0am on Monday December 13th.

The number is 0871 911 1973 and, providing callers are on the club's database, people can buy up to six tickets each. There will be no sales via safc.com or Ticketmaster for this game and fans will be held responsible if tickets fall into the wrong hands.

Because of the early kick-off, the branch coach will leave TWO HOURS earlier than normal, ie: Manchester city centre 6.55; Stockport 7.15 and Prestwich 7.45 and there will be no Thirsk break - though we will pick up in the vicinity.

Please book in good time, so that we can get a coach suitable for our needs. Thanks.

UPDATE (Jan 5th): Apparently the match is almost sold out and only single tickets are available around the stadium. So if you haven't got your ticket yet and want to go, ring SAFC very quickly!

I seem to recall that the plan was to have an hour for drinks in Sunderland after the match to give time for the traffic to clear, is this not the case?

I did suggest stopping in Sunderland, but that would require a decision before the match and wouldn't be fair on the people who really do want a quiet cup of tea (not much chance of that around SOL at 2pm !)
