Default Would you rather we were...

...in Europe but struggling in the Prem like Stoke and Fulham and perhaps just missing the drop or keep finishing safe in mid-table (14th-10th) without any European games?

Myself, I wouldn't mind a run out in Europe. To me we should already be there with the money spent on the team (even though we've been selling to buy, overall it's still a lot of money spent on new players the past couple of seasons) and, in Premiership terms at least, a long-standing manager who's had time to get it right. Two and a half years ago Europe is honestly where I thought we'd be right now.

I know some people would settle for 14th-10th atm with our bad start, but you get the drift of the question.

I wouldn't want to be in that Europa Cup. Kiss of death for the league position.

Struggling, top of their Europa League and 2 points ahead of Sunderland, not sure where you get your idea they are struggling from. Im sure they will win more than we do and do well in the Europa League

A run in Europe because that at least would mean we showed some ambition at least once.

We are behind Stoke and on the same points as Fulham. So what you're saying is "would you rather we were doing well in Europe, if it had no bearing on our league position at all?"

Well I guess that just shows how badly we are doing atm. But my point was both Stoke and Fulham (and other teams in the past) suffer greatly from "European hangovers" (Stoke especially it seems) in the league. Would we be willing to put up with this sort of form for a night out somewhere in Europe and, perhaps, finish lower than 14th for the experience?

TBH mate it makes no difference. Fact is the teams you've mentioned aren't having worse seasons than us points-wise yet they've got Europe as a bit of a distraction from the League.

So if you're asking if I'd swap our league position with Fulham's and Stoke's for European football then yes, of course.
