What a beautiful piece of the UK this is.

Just spent a lovely long weekend at our lasses parents at a place called Lochgilphead which is about 80 mile past Glasgow. Some stunning scenery to look as you drive past Glasgow and hit the road to Lochgilphead.

Had a couple of days out whilst there at places called Invernary and Oban and weather was spot on which was a bonus to. Rounded the mini break off today with a stop of visit to Loch Lomond on the drive back and stunning is not the word for the scenery round there

I used to live near there, other end of the Crinan canal and then down a few miles.

Since you didn't put in the usual disclaimer and you have been here long enough to know better I think that you should adhere to the rules

Also, it's a beautiful part of the UK and 'll be going back up in a few weeks time.

Do it. I pooh-poohed it away, all those warnings. "The midges..." they cried, "... The midges! Oh good fucking GOD the MIDGES!"

Little flies, thought I, nee bother.

Jesus Christ. Everytime you stopped still for 30 seconds the landed on any available patch of flesh, and for the size of them you can fucking feel the bastards bite. And there's hundreds of them.
