Any of you lot doing it? Just signed up tonight before I changed my mind, might be pushing my mate round again if he's up to it. Time to start training soon!

Aye. Not done any kind of running for about a year, only ever done a half Marathon and apparently training should've started two weeks ago. Should be fun like.

It's certainly a noble cause ... let me think on it a wee while. Will I have to wear disco knicks?

We didnt have the imagination between us to think if what to do, so knickers and headbands it was! I wanted to do cool runnings, but trying to get 6 wetsuits and helmets with a few days notice isn't easy.

But we can't use the phrase "of the North" - don't you know that belongs solely to Newcastle?

You looked lovely - not quite in my Polish painter and decorator class, but lovely nonetheless

I'll think about it over the next few weeks - going away so will try and get some running in, but I've had some twatty virus / recurring cold thing for weeks now so haven't been out, and I'm starting to get used to the sedentary life again!

It's fuck of a lot of training for a marathon isn't it? it's more the time than the effort that's daunting.
