I really can't remember that many going in from the Bruce era, how many did we score and have we already surpassed it in the O'Neill era?

But we shoot so well that the goalie gets nowhere near them to present us with a tap in rebound

Don't know the stats, but it's been a long long while since we've had so many lads in midfield who can score from long range. Vaughan, Gards, Seb all banging them in

And all bought by Bruce. Just Vaughan and Gardner particularly were inexplicably used only sparingly until O'Neill arrived.

I remember us all complaing that we didn't shoot enough from outside the area. Now I find it difficult to celebrate a goal that wouldn't get in the MOTD goal of the month competition. It's just how we roll now I guess.

It all comes from confidence. The more confident a player is the more likely he is to try something extraordinary. Apart from Gardner who just does it for fun

Everyone was impressed with Bruce's midfield signings in the summer, the daft knacker didn't think of playing them though!

I know its remarkable, especially Vaughan who looked very good when he had played.
