This one confused me

I would keep the same team but possibly start Albie and rest Gabby to the bench. I think Ged picked the right back 4 for Chelski as they play with little genuine width or pace and Sunderland have pretty much the same type of attacking formation, i.e. a 4-3-3 with 3 centre forwards, so 4 CBs should be okay.
Is Delph back fit? I would get him on for the last 30 when Stan tires, which he will.
I will go Villa 2-0.

So he thinks we play with little pace...with Elmohamady, Welbeck, Gyan and Bent in our team and a pretty big focus on counter attacking?
Here is another that tickled me...

Nothing less than a win will do in this one for me. Sunderland are a decent side but player for player we are better. Failure to win will see us still deep in the mire with an away game at Small Heath and a home game against Man City to come and if we can't beat Sunderland at home its highly unlikely we'd get much from those two.
Houllier said Clarks goal on Sunday signalled the start of our season. We're about to find out.

Gordon Friedel - little between the two
Bardsley
Cuellar
Bramble Dunne
Ferdinand
Collins
Richardson Clarke
Malbranque
Young (only just, I think Young is hugely over-rated)
Meyler
Petrov
Henderson Reo-Coker
Elmohamady
Downing
Bent Heskey
Gyan Agbonlahor

It's hard to stress JUST how much better our strike force are though. I would probably cry with a front two of Heskey and Agbonlahor
