Default Is Heskey starting 11 stuff?

I've caught World Cup fever but I'll be suddenly cured if he's on the pitch at kick off and it has nothing to do with Bent.

Obviously Capello doesn't remember Euro 2004, beating France with 1 minute to go only for our hero super sub to gift them a 2-1 win. Or the 2002 World Cup. Or the Euro 2008 Qualifiers. Or any of the utter shit performances we've had to endure.

It's about time they changed the rule that managers have to be from the country they're managing. No way does he know the shite we've put up with watching this donkey. It'll be hard to watch if he's in the team.

Heskey doesnt even start for villa!! The fact that a non goalscoring striker like Heskey can get near the england team says enough

Capello may may not remember some of those performances but I am sure he remembers the thumping wins against Croatia in qualifying where Heskey led the line up front. Games in particular where his strength and athleticiism helped create the space for the likes of Rooney to finish those teams off.

Also, with regard to the Euro 2008 qualifying, Heskey actually only played in the matches where there was a renaissance under McClaren. Again, he started and played well in the thumping 3-0 win against Russia but then suffered injuries which kept him out of the critical and disastrous games against both Russia and Croatia.

If you said he did a job of sorts, a bit of huff and puff fair enough but played well? Sorry that's stretching it.

Heskey has created more goals by diving than any football skill.

He's been terrible for months, a fucking non scoring carthorse.

If your going to have a go at Heskey at least get some facts right England v France euro 2004 I do beleive it was our captain Stevie Gerrard that played a wonderful through ball for the french to equalise.

Agreed he didn't play well and has had a nothing season at Villa and I dont rate the lad at all, but there is something about him playing up front for England with a small mobile partner that seems to click. Thinking back with Owen and also games with Rooney where it has happened.

He is a carthorse but he does make the cart pretty useful !!!!
