is he actually any good?

never really stood out that much on the odd occasion ive watch the skunks

anyhow hopefully improves our chances next weekend

Now that he is leaving I can say that he is superb. One of the major reasons they did as well as they did last season. He is probably up there with Evra, Cole etc as being one of the best in the league. Gutierrez will look lost without him.

Hate to say this but I agree, even tho he played for the mags he is a quality left back and massively underrated. Will be a huge loss to the Skunks if he does go

I'm glad hes goin now and not the 21st august like i though would happen. not that av seen him much but he is quite highly thort of by those who have seen a bit of him.

But havin said that i'll just give the unwashed another excuse should they take a mauling in their opening 37 games.

Don't buy it.
Apart from last season, the times they have beaten us recently they have been miles and miles ahead of us.
They doubled the 15 and 19 point teams.
They beat the last Roker team who were relegated. They beat the team that finished 1 place above relegation in 2002.
Only times of late they have beaten us when there wasn't a massive gulf was the Owen 2-0 game and last seasons hammering.
