    Default HP buying Palm

Everyones buying everyone at the minute, and for only £657m.

They'll probably buy Palm, and make a load of redundancies.

They're using Windows 7 for the HP Slate.

Its a matter of time before Apple buys everyone

Interesting move, don't think anyone saw that coming. Hope it means WebOS has a big future now.

dunno why people rave on about palms. fucking awful things imo, feel cheap and nasty and are very annoying to use.

HP obviously wanted webOS not the hardware so i guess palms will die and HP produce a new range of phones/pads

give it another 10 years and there will be 4 big players left

    My dad loves his.

Handed his Blackberry back to work and bought his own Palm instead.

Yet again, HP have spare cash for massive buyouts, but non for their own staff "during these difficult times" of only making $10+bn profit in the last 12 months.

Is it WebOS you find annoying or the old Palm OS, because I think WebOS with the right support could be the best one out there. I really liked it when I had a go on the Pre but was put off by the lack of support it was getting and poor build quality issues with the Pre.
If it can get some money behind it and attract some more developers I would definitely get a WebOS phone and most probably tablet. It has much better features and is alot more intuitive than IPhone os.
