Default A bit sad but all the more excited!

Sad to see a good young player, one of our own, go - but very excited about what we'll be able to attract with our kitty this summer, with more than a handful almost certain to come through the doors.

Cheer up fellahs; at least give the club - which is being run so very well these days - a chance to prove itself on the transfer market this summer. I don't think we're gonna be dissapointed when the window closes the last of August, so why behave like spoiled children just because we accepted a big, big offer on one of our players ...

Yes it hurt extra because it was a very promising home grown player, and a very likable character as well, but we aren't being owned by Roman Abramovich or Sheikh Mansour so the club have to think about finances as well - and every player at a club which have to think about its finances has a price on his head. We're gonna live with that until the day an oil fellah buys our beloved club.

I agree mate. The sad thing about it is the way football is today. No romance in it. You'd hope you'd bring a few local lads through who love the club and turn out to be local heros.

In the real world, though, in today's world, 20 million quid is ludicrous. He isn't worth half of that based on what we've seen so far.

He's young, a great talent who may very well be a regular for England for years to come - but £20m is crazy when you think about it. He's not Messi and never will be. I do think he'll be a very good player but I don't think he'll ever dominate the Premier League - so we almost certainly got a very good price for him.

It's the way of the world and we'll have to make sure we spend the money wisely - and if we do we can come out of this a stronger team.
