Its more for the way back than the way there like. So a taxi could be a nightmare.

Direct trains back to Leeds stop at about 9-ish. So going to have to change in Manchester and it's turning out to be a nightmare tieing in the changovers after the match has finished.

Not as long as it takes to walk from Alfreton & Mansfield Parkway to Mansfield.

It's a fair distance. There is a stop on the Northern service from York-Blackpool North (if coming from Manchester go to Preston and get a train from their on the reverse service) called Mill Hill that is a five minute walk down a hill to the ground. Don't know times though unfortunately.

I wanted to go this game, but it's turning into a right arse with travel etc. Thought it'd be easier for me as I live Crewe way, but not looking good.

You could probably walk it in about 20mins if you know where you're going and get a bit of a peddle on. It isn't as far from the town centre as you think
