    Default Gardner

Was really excellent today. Can't believe some people would have rather had Vaughan in from the start (As good as he was when he came on)

I think some people are still blinkered by his goal record at Birmingham and think the only thing he gives us is a goal threat from midfield.

But he is the closest thing we have to Catts. Won a load of those typical Catts tackles today where he jumps at their players legs together and comes out with the ball.

    Neat and tidy passing.

He still needs a bit more vision occassionally when he drives forward but alongside Colbeck he was great today.

I think the reason I'd pick Vorn ahead of him is that he's a better player.

He only played well once pushed wider by the introduction of Vaughan.

The last 15 minutes were quite bearable afetr Vorn came on..never misses a pass, a very very good player..To be fair mind, he was part of a five man midfield while Gardner was a player short..

he's gone record to say he isn't. He's loving it at Sunderland now he's getting games, just needs to get his lass up here to really keep him on track.

Came across to the North Stand at the final whistle. Looked really chuffed. He was egging the crowd on to cheer waving his arms and jumping up and down

thought Gardner was outstanding today - personally would have played Vaughn instead of Colback

Well you should believe it. All our centre midfiled players are really good footballers. If I was picking two from 4 I would lean towards Catts and Colback but theres a strong argument for any combination.
