Not happy.....like

Yesterday my thread about a new camera lens ended up with me getting some good advise from Not Spavin, he's found me a lens for £149.99 that i was going to buy online today. I saved the page and came into work today only to load it and see a new price of £239.99!!!!!!!

Help / advice needed, can they do this!??!

Just rang them and they said there prices reflect the amount of stock they have in at that time and they regularly go up and down. She told me to keep an eye on the page!

Can I kick up a stink and what are the chances of them giving it to me for the original price???

It is illegal for shops to change their prices. They must sell all goods at their January sale prices as long as you complain about it long and loud enough.

Kick up a stink because a price change? Are you for real? Have you not heard of supply and demand?

Perhaps if you are emotionally scarred by this you should see your Therapist and perhaps sue?

Also, what makes you think that was the "original" price - because that was the first time you saw it?

If you're not desperate just keep checking the page daily and wait for the price to drop again...

So, as I was saying before dumb and dumber thought it was so wrong of me to be disheartened at such a lofty hike in price (for a budget lens

).

Anyone had a similar experience where they have had a company give you the "original"

price?

Just tell them you ordered the lens yesterday, but you never got a confirmation e-mail.

I'm so dumb I'd look for a retailer that was charging something like the original price.

An extra £15 when you're getting married / moving in the space of a month is alot you know! especially when you shouldn't really be spending the £150 in the first place

if yu're not desperate for the lens, wait and buy it in the UAE, it should be cheaper in the tax-free over there
