Default which processor is all round better

Intel Core I5 2500 3.3 Quad Core CPU
    or

AMD 8 Core FX 3.1Ghz cpu

i used to use amd all the time a quite a few years ago but found them unstable
where i have been using intel for the last 10 years or so and found them a much more stable processor. can any1 tell me how far the amd chips have come these days. only reason i ask is i can get the amd budle above with 8 gig more ram for nearly the same price as the i5 bundle.
i know the i5 id quad core & the amd is 8 just womdering if it's worth taking the risk

    cheers

    The Intel i5.

Is it the k version in the bundle as this version will let you overclock it.

H61 is what chipset the motherboard runs on, if you arent bothered about overclocking then the regular i5 2500 will be just fine.
