apart from the crackers who sit up on level 7 next to the away fans i cant say ive ever noticed a steward do anything other than point people to seats etc, yet every week there are people on here moaning about stewards on here
incidentally my father in law is a steward on the the premier concourse and he had to chuck out 2 lads on satda, the first this season as they kept standing up and shouting swearing etc, this is in earshot of the directors box according to him, he wanred them 3 times then they had to be hoyed out.
as for drinking in the stand, last home there was a celtic & a rangers fan sitting just over from me, they both had a pint hidden under their coats

and they took crafty drinks form them all the 2nd half*
* which is a bit gay one pint in 45 mins imo
