Best derby games at SJP........

For me it is close between the 1999 2-1 in the rain and the 2000 2-1 Shearer miss.

For me though the Shearer miss game edged it. It really did have everything.

Guessing anyone at the play off game would say that one??

It was an incredible night with the atmosphere, the result, the pathetic pitch invasion etc but, I have to say I really enjoyed being there for the Gary Rowell hat trick ......... to see a local lad doing that at SJP was wonderful.

Agreed but we were fucking robbed ameoba handballed it on one of the goals and his other shouldnt of stood for whatever reason i cannit remember. And when elliot hit the bar was the worst feeling

Yeah, i was minus 4 year old when Rowell did that, was a great day!!!!

I agree about the 3-2. We were bloody awful that season but deserved something that game. Was it Elliot who hit the bar too with minutes remaining??

The 1-1 with Phillips header infront of the gallowgate was ok too.

Corker of a game for the neutral that one. Considering the crap season we were having at the time, it was quite a surprise to have a derby defeat we could get even the remotest sort of enjoyment from it.

If Chopra (cunt! ) hadn't bottled that chance last time, that could have been right up there as one of the best, an ex mag clinching a double for us over them.

Aye, but that feeling when Lawrence cut inside, beat two players and smashed it in from 25 yards seconds after they have taken the lead was amazing.

Unbelievable that we scored two goals of that quality in the same game.
