Default Deadline day = damp squib when you look

at what ACTUALLY happened compared to what the media predicted.

Very few big names moved, and so many loan deals - it makes the Premier league a bit of a joke.

Loan deals should be for lower division teams only imo.

And what many on here were predicting tbf - a late explosion into life.

    Never going to happen.

NQ talked recently about the realisation amongst clubs of the obvious: that for all the money coming into football, nearly every club is in debt, and the only people making substantial amounts of money out of it are the top players and agents.

I think there's a determination in a lot of quarters to make an attempt to keep wages under control. Transfer fees make the headlines - but they go club to club. Transfers are also mainly when the wages go up, so less transfers! And more of those are loans.

Slow deadline day in comparison to past years.

We were one of the biggest players again, yet some people will still have a whinge, no one else came close to spunking £13m today did they?

To be fair, Harry Redknapp is still working on half a dozen transfers so we will have a better idea in the morning

He made me laugh, he didn't actually know what was going on.

Redknapp is spending 10.5 on Van Der Vaart. That's has gone through by the way, so expect SSN to finally announce that.

A bit damp in my house around 5.40 but nothing to do with squids, more a case or ejaculation
