Default Best Real Ale pubs in the town then

So where is the best place to get a decent pint of real ale in the town then.

I know the vaults and the Isis get plugged to death on here, but they seem full of weirdos (you do tend to get them in those places), but where else sells a good pint of proper ale?

The Cooper Rose is the best in terms of ale quality out of the 3 'spoons.

Yates used to have Spitfire on for £1.49 a pint

Thats where? The new one yes? I know the spoons always have real ales on, but they just don't have the atmosphere of a real ale pub if you know what i mean.

The thing is with the likes of yates's and the spoons etc, i'm not sure that they keep them right at times.

Used to be Beach nightclub, next door to National Reserve, top of Vine Place.

It's a Lloyds branded one, so has music on.

Know where you are coming from and you do get the odd dodgy one, but they are more than happy to change your pint for a different one if you not happy and you can always try before you buy in 'spoons.

The Londonderry has a pale ale on as a regular and it's usually ok. The Corner Flag (used to be Idols) has a few on too. People rave about Fitzgeralds, but I'm not a fan tbh.

If you are only going to have a couple, might as well do something different and try the Isis or the Kings Arms.

If you end up in the Vaults, you'll need a name badge and the password.
