After it's all sunk in
Still absolutely gutted we didn't win, thought I'd give a few delayed thoughts on the game.
1) No complaints with the red cards. Both Sess and Catts were idiots. I'm a big, big Cattermole fan and thought he was brilliant yesterday, but he needs to sort his discipline out. Yes, the red was due to passion but the game was over, just move on.
2) 11v11 we outpassed them, all they did was lump it up to their front two. 2nd half (before the red), as expected, they came out at us, but we defended well and had that great chance. We'll never know what would have happened, but I feel confident with 11 we'd have hit them on the break and won.
3) So proud of how we defended after the red. Thought we'd hold on when the Mig saved the pen, wasn't to be sadly. Our fans were brilliant as well
4) If there's one slight criticism I have it's that we didn't hold on to the ball as well as we could have. I know it's difficult with 10 men, but we could have maybe done a bit better and it would have eased some pressure
5) Pardew is a bellend of the highest order. There was nothing wrong with our tactics. There was the same no. of fouls for both teams, they had more yellows as well. All this talk from them of us being 'too aggressive, etc' is cringeworthy. It's a derby ffs.
Anyway, the future's bright under MON.

point 2 highlights point 5, pardew knew he was lucky, thats why he had a go at MoN, you could tell it was getting to him, thing is i bet he is regretting how he acted because I think something could happen to him at the SOL by one of our fans

Definitely this. Proved he can't handle the pressure when things aren't going right in a big derby.

this, thing is with pardew is he is doing well and fair enough, but deep down he's not a bloke the Geordies like, cannot wait to see the shit flow of excuse that slimy bloke comes out with when it starts to go pear shape.

I can't wait to play them at the SOL.
It's an early statement and a bold one, but I fancy us to go unbeaten at home against the mags under MoN.
