    Default Cattermole

Gets a lot of stick, some of it justified. He deserves some praise for his performance yesterday. Won his fair share of tackles and kept his passing simple.

    He's a good player.

I think Colback out played him, and did not deserve to go off.

Problem with Cattermole is that his reputation goes before him. He isn't a good judge of when he needs to put in a tackle and when to keep his head.

His passing can be poor as well, I noticed a couple of times yesterday where we were on the break and he let us down.

He needs to change his game so that he can provide us with more than yellow cards.

What annoys me about Cattermole is his constant passing to the side or backwards never plays a telling ball for the forwards to run onto but he played ok yesterday one of his better games

His distribution usually isn't the best. He reminds me a lot like Kevin Ball and I never thought Ball was a particularly good player. He was just committed and hard.

Cattermole would be a better player if we had some more quality in midfield. At the moment Colback, Gardner and Vaughan aren't doing it for me. We need a central midfielder who is going to create chances and pitch in with goals. That was supposed to be Gardner's role but he doesn't appear to be good enough to even get in a first team that is currently sitting 14th in the table.

Didn't play too badly yesterday, although he was anonymous throughout most of the game and he still gives away silly, needless fouls in dangerous areas.

He was second best to Colback.

He didnt have that manic stare he's had lately, more relaxed. I think he tries too hard because he's captain. Too thick to do that, give the captaincy to Brown.

he done well yesterday, will always be people who moan about him in any performance he does. Him, elmo and to a lesser extent turner will always get stick on here now, shame really.
