Default Apple - TOP Customer Service

Went into the apple shop last night with my iPhone 4. The lock/power button had stuck down. Only had the phone since may.

Bloke behind the 'genius bar' took a quick look inside of it and went with a GP type tool. 'you've looked after that well, i'll just replace the handset'

Couldn't fecking believe it. Externally it was scratched too bits.

10/10 customer service by Apple, never received better.
The phone is probably a refurb but it is BRAND NEW condition so I'm over the moon

My MacBook got a crack in the white plastic casing about a year after I got it. This apparently was not covered by the warranty but they changed the casing anyway. Said it would take 48 hours but called me within the hour to say it had been done and was ready for collection.

They replaced it because it was the cheaper option.

    Not true

It was simply the spring behind the button. They had draws full of refurbed phones ready to replace

Apple don't make trillions by being nice. But then they have had a free advert on a large and popular website, so you may be right.

A lot of companies could take lessons in customer service from Apple and Amazon to be honest

    I think your wrong Marra.

Like I said its a refurbed phone. My broken one will be sent back; Fixed, New covers and screen etc and then be sent to another apple shop as a replacement for someone else. Costs them less than making a new one. And in the process they have made a customer VERY happy and spread the word of apple.
