    Default Cutting VAT

When labour cut VAT few years ago it didnt make any difference what so ever. I didnt go "VAT has been cut i'm going to spend more money" i just spent exactly the same as when VAT was at 17.5%.

2.5% less is nothing it made no difference to anyone. its like people who complain because a pint of milk is 2p more expensive then it used to be. 2.5% less made no difference to me what so ever. The only reason people thought it made a difference was because it sounds good when a politician says "VAT has gone down". Plus i can claim the VAT back.

It's not subtle enough and too moronic to be believable.

There has to be an element of plausibility to be funny. Or it has to be funny.

I don't think it would make a significant difference to people's lives if it was cut, but it would burn a big hole in the government's finances.
